Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Day Camp Coordinator to lead our summer program for children. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create a fun, safe, and educational environment for kids during the summer months. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in teaching Sunday School or as a Sunday School superintendent, with strong leadership skills. As a Summer Day Camp Coordinator, you will oversee daily activities, coordinate staff and volunteers, and ensure a positive experience for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily camp activities that promote learning, creativity, and fun
- Supervise and support camp staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations
- Foster a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols and addressing any issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camp schedules, activities, and student progress
- Manage supplies, equipment, and materials needed for daily activities
- Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance to promote positive social interactions
- Coordinate special events or themed days to enhance the summer camp experience
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and camp policies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in Faith Based learning, educational or recreational settings is preferred
- Background in tutoring, teaching Sunday school , or early childhood education is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead groups of children and manage staff or volunteers effectively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with children of various ages
- Passion for creating enriching summer experiences that foster growth and development
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
