Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations and consistent quality standards
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to verify cleanliness and safety compliance
- Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, use of hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, including maintenance of facilities maintenance tasks when necessary
- Assign tasks based on priorities, monitor progress, and provide feedback to improve performance
- Address guest or staff concerns promptly with excellent customer service skills and clear communication
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures during heavy lifting, use of power tools, and handling of hazardous materials
Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and custodial experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the role
- Outstanding communication skills for effective team leadership and customer interactions
- Experience with facility upkeep, safety protocols, and troubleshooting minor maintenance issues
