Open Positions:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate teacher who can teach both Physics and Mathematics. Ideal candidates hold a double major or equivalent qualifications in Physics and Mathematics and are eager to contribute to our diverse and dynamic learning environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in both Physics and Mathematics (double major or equivalent).
- Familiarity with the BC curriculum, AP, IB, and standardized testing formats such as SAT and SSAT.
- Experience coaching or teaching competitive Mathematics and Physics contests is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and integrate both subjects effectively, tailoring instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
- Experience in developing AP/IB preparatory materials is advantageous.
- Possession of a valid BC teaching certification or its equivalent is an asset.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Ability to commute between Richmond and Vancouver locations as needed.
Position Details:
- Opportunities available for both full-time and part-time roles.
- Total teaching hours vary based on your availability.
- Hourly Rate: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Work Schedule:
- Primarily scheduled Monday to Friday during after-school and evening hours.
- Weekend availability may be required.
- Schedule adjustments may occur during school holidays based on student demand.

Most students generally prefer in-person instruction, with classes typically scheduled between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on weekdays, and throughout the day on weekends. This information will help us coordinate a phone screening, an interview, and any teaching assignments if you are hired.
- Please indicate the number of years of teaching experience you have in Canada and specify any teaching certificate, qualification, or other credentials that demonstrate your ability to teach the subject you are applying for.
- If you are shortlisted, we will contact you for a phone screening. Please suggest three possible times across today or the next two business days (Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays) when you would be available. Our typical availability is 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM. We will call you at one of your suggested times from one of our office numbers: (604) 370-0579, (604) 370-2569, or (604) 326-2888. Please ensure the times you provide are times when you will be fully free, as we will call you directly at one of your suggested times. We will send you a notification email beforehand, but please be prepared to take the call at the time listed (for example: January 12 at 2:30 PM).
- Please indicate your preferred type of employment (e.g., full-time or part-time) and your preferred hourly rate for this role; experience with SAT or AP tutoring may qualify you for a higher rate.
- Please list any additional subjects, grade levels, or standardized tests you could teach with preparation but have limited or no teaching experience in.
These should be areas you are academically strong in but have not formally taught.
- Please list the subjects, grade levels, and standardized tests you can teach confidently without preparation. Only include areas where you meet at least one of the following:
- You have taught the subject/test to real students, OR
- You have personally completed the curriculum/exam (e.g., BC K–12, AP, IB, SAT, etc.)
If listing standardized tests, you MUST indicate:
- Teaching experience, OR
- Your score/grade (if you took the exam)
Do NOT include subjects you have not taught or personally completed, as subjects listed here may be assessed in a teaching demo or interview.
