Adora Bright Pediatric Therapy Services is seeking an experienced and engaging Part-Time Instructor Therapist to join our multidisciplinary pediatric team.
Adora Bright operates across two locations in York Region and provides multidisciplinary services to children and youth with autism, ADHD, and other developmental, behavioural, social, and executive functioning needs.
This position is primarily focused on youth ages 9–14 and requires someone who understands that ABA intervention for older children and youth should be developmentally appropriate, practical, collaborative, and focused on meaningful real-life skills.
The Instructor Therapist will provide direct ABA intervention under the clinical supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct 1:1 and small-group ABA intervention to youth ages 9–14.
- Implement individualized programs, protocols, and Behaviour Support Plans developed by the supervising RBA.
- Support programming related to executive functioning, emotional regulation, flexibility, independence, self-advocacy, communication, social skills, and problem-solving.
- Implement ACT- and AIM-informed strategies as developed and directed by the supervising RBA.
- Facilitate age-appropriate social skills and peer-based programming.
- Use real-life situations, conversation, collaborative tasks, and natural opportunities to promote skill development and generalization.
- Support assessment probes and structured observations as directed by the RBA.
- Collect accurate data and complete professional session documentation.
- Communicate observations, progress, and concerns to the supervising RBA.
- Participate in clinical supervision, training, and team meetings.
- Collaborate with other members of Adora Bright's multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain an assent-based approach that respects youth voice, choice, dignity, and growing independence.
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Behavioural Science, Psychology, Autism and Behavioural Science, Child and Youth Care, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of ABA experience preferred.
- Experience working with older children and youth, particularly ages 9–14, is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting autism, ADHD, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and social development is an asset.
- Knowledge or experience with ACT, AIM, executive functioning, and youth social-skills programming is a strong asset.
- Ability to build genuine rapport with older children and youth while maintaining appropriate structure and expectations.
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to consistently implement clinical direction and respond well to feedback and supervision.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check required.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

Evening Hours: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Location: On-site at Adora Bright locations in York Region
Clinical Supervision: Provided by Registered Behaviour Analysts (RBAs)
Candidates must have consistent evening and Saturday availability.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with older children and youth and understands how to build rapport without making intervention feel young or overly structured. The ideal candidate can engage youth in meaningful conversation and activities while consistently implementing individualized ABA programming and clinical recommendations established by the supervising RBA.
Pay: $19.17-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
