Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, handling transactions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, following recipes
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment
- Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders and addressing customer inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and dining area
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system
- Uphold food safety standards in food preparation and storage
- Assist in restocking inventory and supplies as needed
- Open and close cafe efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service or as a Barista is preferred
- Proficiency in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to prepare various coffee beverages with precision
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanour
- Weekend availability
