Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our infant team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. Your primary goal will be to support their developmental needs through educational activities, caregiving, and positive interactions. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Provide attentive caregiving to meet the individual needs of children in your care
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation
- Observe and document children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and team members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and spaces
- Foster positive behavior management strategies that promote respect and cooperation among children
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and improve program quality
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in caregiving and nurturing roles within early childhood settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passion for teaching and supporting the developmental needs of young children
Requirements :
- Valid BC ECE certification
- Valid emergency first aid and cpr
- Ability to pass a criminal record check
Pay: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
