Communications Professional
The Communication Professional performs communication activities for project communications, change management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver actionable information to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
This is a Hybrid role with 2 days in office per week in Burnaby, BC. Some travel required.
Communications Professional Mandatory Skills:
- 7 years experience of leadership level capacity
- Strong Issues Management Skill
- Experience with provincial and federal regulatory processes (for example - BC Utility Commissions, Environmental Assessment Office, Canada Energy Regulator)
- Strong Facilitation & Engagement Skills
- Must be able to travel within Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland
Communications Professional
The Communication Professional performs communication activities for project communications, change management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver actionable information to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Communications Professional Mandatory Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, Indigenous Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement, with experience on complex, multi-stakeholder or infrastructure/energy projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to distill complex technical, regulatory, or energy concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.
- Experience with digital and multimedia communications (websites, social media, video, newsletters) and content management.
- Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust-based relationships and work effectively in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote NIA communities as needed.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license (or equivalent) and clean driving record.
