We are currently looking for a Lighting Fixture Assembler to join our assembly department at our Newmarket, Ontario facility.

Position Overview
The Lighting Fixture Assembler is responsible for assembling custom-made commercial lighting fixtures in accordance with production drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position requiring the ability to work with hand and power tools, follow detailed instructions, and perform repetitive assembly tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Candidates must be comfortable standing for most of the workday and working as part of a production team.
Key Responsibilities
· Assemble and package lighting fixtures according to production drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
· Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work
· Measure, cut, and drill aluminum extrusions
· Read and follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and wiring diagrams
· Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards
· Identify and report defective or non-conforming parts
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
· Keep tools and equipment in good working condition
· Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
· Rotate between production tasks or workstations as required
· Meet established production and quality targets
· Perform other production duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
· Previous experience in lighting, fabrication, mechanical assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred
· Experience working with hand and power tools
· Ability to read and follow production drawings and assembly instructions
· Ability to read basic wiring diagrams is an asset
· Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks and repetitive lifting
· Ability to stand and work on a production floor for up to 8 hours
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
· High school diploma or equivalent
