Kerslake Insurance & Investments Inc. is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our growing team as a Customer Service Representative.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the insurance industry while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. This position plays a key role in supporting our insurance sales team and delivering exceptional service to our clients. While you will work closely with advisors and agents, this is not a sales-focused role and does not involve sales targets.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain their Ontario Other Than Life (OTL) Insurance License within four (4) months of employment. Training, support, and resources will be provided to help you achieve this milestone.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by phone, email, and in person.
- Respond to client inquiries and assist with policy-related requests.
- Process policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and insurance documentation.
- Prepare client files and supporting documents for advisors and agents.
- Maintain accurate client records within agency management systems.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate client follow-up activities.
- Assist with administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and correspondence.
- Liaise with insurance carriers and internal team members to resolve client concerns.
- Support the sales team with day-to-day operational and service-related tasks.
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures and industry regulations.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
- Commitment to obtaining an OTL Insurance License within four months of hire.
Preferred
- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience working in an office, financial services, or insurance environment.
- Familiarity with CRM or agency management software.
- Experience handling confidential client information.
