Position: Provincial Eating Disorders Coordinator
Site: Toronto General Hospital
Department: Ontario Community Outreach Program for Eating Disorders at Eating Disorders Ontario (EDO)
Reports to: Director, Ontario Community Outreach Program for Eating Disorders
Hours: 30 hours per week/ 4 days per week
Salary: $39.20 - $49.00 per hour
Status: Temporary Part-time start date: January 17, 2021
Travel requirement: this position will require the incumbent to travel extensively throughout Ontario by car and/or airplane. Candidates must have a flexilble schedule and Ontario driver's licence.
POSITION:As an integral member of the Ontario Community Outreach Program for Eating Disorders at EDO, the Provincial Coordinator is responsible for ongoing communication and collaboration with staff members who are part of the provincial network of specialized eating disorder services in Ontario and with community-based health practitioners from across Ontario to gauge training needs and optimize implementation support of evidence-based treatment and prevention, as well as participation in quality improvement initiatives; educational event planning, coordination, and facilitation; collecting robust, valid database statistics, ensuring that educational materials are located, maintained and accessible to staff members working in eating disorder programs across Ontario and those working across other sectors including mental health and addictions , performing cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.
Successful completion of Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work or a health-related field
Minimum 5 years’ recent, related experience in an Mental Health environment
3-4 years’ recent experience in the treatment of eating disorders
Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, clinical teaching and clinical research
Advanced knowledge and skills in assessment of mental health and implementation of evidence based therapy
Strong knowledge of principles of treatment of eating disorders
3-4 years’ recent experience in the provincial network of specialized eating disorder services in Ontario
Knowledge and experience with the mental health system
Ontario driver's licence
Demonstrated excellence as a role model for clinical leadership while portraying a professional image
Excellent leadership, time management, presentation skills
Proven ability to be self-directed and function independently
Proven ability to work with an inter-professional team
Proven advanced computer skills for programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Power Point and SPSS
Proven ability to understand the feelings, concerns and needs of other people, demonstrate care and interest towards them and establish and maintain productive relationships
Ability to maintain effectiveness and resilience when dealing with adverse circumstances and multiple demands
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
