Dr. Armour is expanding, and we are hiring six residential sales representatives to join our Ottawa team. This is a ground floor opportunity with a company that has locations in Ottawa and Niagara and is actively opening across Canada. The people who join us now will be the senior reps of a much larger organization two years from now.
What we do
Dr. Armour restores and protects roofs, concrete, wood, and asphalt using advanced nanotechnology treatments. Instead of tearing off a roof and spending $25,000 or more, a homeowner can have their existing roof restored and protected for a fraction of the cost, with a manufacturer backed warranty behind it. It is a genuinely better answer than replacement, and it makes for a conversation homeowners actually want to have.
The role
You will work an assigned residential territory, meeting homeowners face to face, assessing their roof and property, and closing the sale on the spot. This is field based, in person sales in the neighbourhoods where the work happens. There is no cold calling from a desk and no waiting on leads to trickle in. You control your territory, your schedule, and your income.
What you can earn, and why there is no ceiling
This role pays 7% commission on every job you sell. There is no cap, no draw against future earnings, and no point at which the company stops paying you more for selling more.
Our jobs range from $2,500 to $10,000, and across our completed work the average job pays a rep about $264. Our standard is one closed job per day. A rep hitting that standard earns roughly $1,320 a week, or about $5,800 a month. Six days a week puts you near $6,900.
That is the standard, not the ceiling. A rep averaging a job and a half a day is past $8,700 a month. Two a day is north of $11,600. And because we protect decks, fences, driveways, and walkways as well as roofs, a strong closer does not have to see more homeowners to earn more, they simply sell the whole property instead of one surface. A $10,000 whole property job pays $700 on its own, and our best people build those out of conversations that started as a roof.
Do the math on your own numbers before you apply. If you are the kind of rep who can put up 30 or 40 closes a month, we want to hear from you, because nobody here is going to tell you that you have earned enough.
Training and support
You will be trained and managed directly by our VP of Sales, who built our IRON Protocol, a same day sales system that takes a rep from the first conversation to a signed agreement in a single visit. You are not being handed a script and pointed at a neighbourhood. You get a proven process, ride alongs, ongoing coaching, mapped territory, professional sales materials, and a technical team behind you that handles the work once you sell it.
Who we are looking for
We want people who are comfortable approaching homeowners in person and who do not fold at the first no. Previous outside sales, canvassing, or field sales experience is a strong asset, whether that came from roofing, solar, telecom, pest control, alarms, or anything else where you had to earn the conversation. We will also consider people with no sales background who are coachable, competitive, and willing to put in the hours. What matters most is work ethic, a professional presence, and the discipline to hit your daily activity targets every single day. A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle are required, along with the ability to work outdoors in residential neighbourhoods across the Ottawa area.
