Duties
- Ability to work approximately 30 hours a week
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls and patient inquiries
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Coordinate physician schedules and manage the clinic’s appointment calendar
- Register new patients and update patient demographic and contact information
- Prepare patient charts and ensure medical records are organized and up to date
- Handle referrals, requisitions, forms, and other clinical documentation
- Receive and organize incoming faxes and correspondence
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, preparation instructions, and follow-ups
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow privacy and clinic policies
- Assist with general administrative and front-desk duties to support the smooth operation of the clinic
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of a university degree required
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Professional and compassionate approach when interacting with patients
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail when handling patient information and medical documentation
- Comfortable answering phones and communicating with patients and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency with computers, email, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to learn and navigate clinic-specific software and scheduling systems
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with physicians and clinic staff
Pay: $19.00 per hour
