FASHION APPAREL GRAPHIC ARTIST
6-MONTH CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY
NORTHERN REFLECTIONS (www.northernreflections.com), a thriving, iconic Canadian apparel, and lifestyle company, is eagerly looking for a creative individual to join our talented design team within our hybrid office environment. As a Contract Fashion Apparel Graphic Artist, you will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality Graphic Art for our clothing collections, including prints, patterns, and stripes on fabric. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in fashion design, fashion communications design, fine arts. Apparel graphic design experience a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with the design team to translate current trends into fabric print, pattern, and graphic designs.

Manage workloads and meet deadlines in alignment with production schedules.

Prepare and format computerized artwork suitable for manufacturing production.

Assist in the communication process for artwork approval with product development teams and manufacturers.

Participate in team meetings and contributes to design projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

University/College degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Communications Design, or a related fine arts program.

Strong artistic skills in silhouette drawing of bodies and clothing.

Proficiency in computer graphic software, including Adobe Photoshop (CS) and Adobe Illustrator (CS). Experience in Point Carre a plus.

Related graphic design experience with knit and/or woven fabrics is a must.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Demonstrates ability to produce highly accurate work.

Effective in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Works independently and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
