HK Food Services is looking for an energetic Delivery Driver/Warehouse Clerk to join their Smiths Falls team. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours throughout the week starting at 9:00 a.m. on a rotating schedule between Monday and Saturday. This is a permanent Full-Time position with hours ranging from 30 hours in the offseason to 44 hours per week during the peak season.
Duties Include:
- Review picking slips and pick and pack products based on customer requirements
- Wrap and secure skids with proper identification tags such as customer number and delivery sequence
- Ensure picking timelines are met with performance rate of 100 pieces per hour minimum
- Review all picked orders and ensure quality and accuracy with a picking error rate no more than 0.01%
- Report order issues in writing (short list) to the Day Supervisor for guidance
- Pull, set aside and report products that don't meet quality standards
- Exercise duties while adhering to food safety and occupational health & safety guidelines
- Transport product from distribution center to the customers in a safe, timely and reliable manner
- Ensure timely communication in routing delays or vehicle issues
- Unload product by hand or using a dolly or pallet jack and place in designated storage area as indicated by the customer. This may include transporting product down and up stairs, ramps or docks and in various weather conditions.
- Review orders with customer to ensure accuracy and completeness to
- customer satisfaction
- Operate assigned tablet (e-logs and delivery programs) pallet jacks, manual and power and trollies
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections, pre trips and post trips and report any issues immediately to the Day Supervisor
- Adhere to company cleanliness and hygiene policy
- Ensure the safekeeping of company equipment
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ministry reporting requirements
- Adhere to highway traffic laws as well as company policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned from time to time by supervisor, management
- and ownership
Equipment/License Requirements:
- Power stacker
- Power and manual jacks and trollies
- G-Class single axle truck (DZ license an asset)
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate to high physical demands
- The ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Lifting, bending, reaching, standing, walking, and climbing
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, warehouse, coolers and freezers
