Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Furniture Installer / Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering and installing office furniture at client locations as well as regular deliveries of paper and office supplies. The ideal candidate will have past office furniture assembly experience, have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Safely deliver office furniture to various client sites according to scheduled appointments
- Unload and transport furniture using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Assemble, install, and arrange furniture as per client specifications and company standards
- Verify delivery accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installation processes
- Communicate effectively with clients to confirm installation details and address any concerns
- Follow safety protocols at all times during transportation and installation activities
Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 3 years personal vehicle insurance history
- Computer skills are preferred
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools for assembly purposes
- Strong physical stamina to lift heavy furniture items safely (up to 50 lbs or more)
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Prior experience in furniture installation
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation and manual handling
