We are a forward-thinking company who invests in our team and encourages our personnel to seek higher training. This position is open to both journeyman and those in the apprenticeship program.
Who You Are
- Excellent knowledge of CSA Z150 for crane safety
- Excellent knowledge of rigging and rigging safety
- Capable of providing a balanced and common-sense approach to routine and complex issues
- Excel at working well while under pressure
- Able to work alone or with a team
- Able to follow instructions and complete daily documentation including inspections and FLHA’s
- Able to follow provincial commercial driver regulations
- Demonstrate respect for the organization including our values and people, maintaining a good image for our organization to our clients
- Able to manage time and meet deadline requirements
Responsibilities
- Driving and operation of multiple cranes (45ton to 250ton)
- Rigging, as required
- Securement of loads and hauling loads to/from client locations
- Set up and tear down of cranes on location
Education & Training
- Journeyman crane operator OR actively working towards journeyman certification and enrolled in the apprenticeship program
- Class 1 driver’s license required
Other Information
- Proof of 5 year commercial driver abstract required
- Our clients may require alcohol and drug testing prior to site access in accordance with the Canadian Model – pre-access A&D testing may be required
Salary
Wages are based on experience and trade certification level.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $30.00-$47.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
