Reporting to the Electronics Manager, and under the direction of the Lead Electrical Assembler, the Electrical Assembler will provide technical support to the Operations, Technical Services, Manufacturing, and Maintenance departments. This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
Job Responsibilities
- With direction or under supervision, complete all electrical assembly work in a safe manner and as per company standards.
- Understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams
- Analyze and learn operational issues.
- Assist in field device installation (pressure, temperature, flow).
- Install electrical circuits and panels for the manufacturing of new truck/trailer builds and preventative maintenance of the existing fleet.
- Program auxiliary modules and data acquisition.
- Control interface understanding with hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems, engines and transmissions.
- Install and maintain field PC’s, networking components, and communication equipment.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Other related duties as required.
Qualifications - Required
- Some related electrical, electronics, and/or instrumentation experience.
- Understanding of electronic and electrical systems and components.
- Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
- Able to work overtime, accommodate a flexible schedule, and travel regularly to meet the needs of the business.
- Legally eligible to work in the country that the position is based out of.
Qualifications - Looking For
- Enrolled in or completed a related post-secondary education or equivalent (Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Electrician trade) with some related experience.
- Driver’s license (non-graduated) with a clean driver’s abstract/record.
- Experience with use of hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
- Flexible and able to adapt to change.
- Understands the importance of safety.
- Team player and customer service focused.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
Qualifications - Assets
- Familiar with SCADA, PLC, or HMI.
- Dependable and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Able to work with limited direction, or independently to complete work.
