Job Description
Castorra Inc. is a home renovation/build company as well as one of the premier tile/stone installation companies in the Toronto area. We are currently looking for a finish carpenter to join our team. This person will be expected to have general knowledge of multpile facets of a residential renovation site as well as a strong skillset in finish carpentry.
This role will also require minor site supervision and trade co-ordination in conjunction with hands on work on the projects. Castorra believes in a “working” super model for our interior renovation projects. There will be days of only project supervision and days of carpentry depdning on the project requirements.
Experience:
- 5 years minimum of experience in residential construction
- transportation is a must, tools/vehicle can be supplied
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of organization
- Experience with scheduling site logistics, providing clear direction to trades and labourers, and experience working in commercial, or residential settings
Duties:
- responsibility of site under project manager
- managing trades on site to achieve a common goal
- Full understanding of trade scopes, scheduling, and coordination of work
- Overseeing and enforcing site safety and required documentation
- Documenting site conditions and relevant administration
- In charge of site progress and execution of assigned tasks by project manager
- Communicating frequently with the Project Manager
- Manage Labourers on site

Job Duties:
- Consult blueprints, designs, and client instructions to develop construction plans for your team
- Manage construction sites, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans and safety codes
