Senior Labourer
Role
We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual for the position of Senior Labourer. The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently, proficient in the use of basic power tools, and have access to a personal vehicle for travel to and from construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut materials as required
- Install backing and construct site signage boards
- Perform various small carpentry tasks
- Perform site setup and cleanup tasks
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Handle general labour duties such as material pickup and site cleaning
This role requires a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute to a team environment while also managing tasks independently.
Education & Training
Senior Labourers may receive their training on the job or by attending vocational schools, technical schools and/or formal carpentry apprenticeship programs.
A valid driver’s license, with a clean driver’s abstract, is a requirement. Intermediate OFA is an asset.
Skills
A senior labourer must know how to use all of the normal handheld power tools associated with the trade. A working knowledge of shop tools is an asset. Competency with basic construction and at least 2 years of experience in the construction industry or equivalent education.
