The Operations Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects that build scale through the organization and deliver operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will focus on managing enterprise projects while also leading and supporting cross-functional teams to deliver innovation, cost savings, and organizational change projects. The candidate will be comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects, as well as rolling out new tools and processes to the teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and within scope
- Define and manage against the project baseline (scope, cost & schedule), record and manage project risks and issues
- Track project performance and expenditures, report variances and make recommendations for action
- Drive change management initiatives to positively influence adoption of the system/process and participation in the project; create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Provide project management support and guidance to project teams as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ project management experience
- Sound knowledge of project management methodologies with formal training preferred
- Experience delivering projects requiring organizational change
- Ability to identify and analyze impacts of change on business processes, identify risks and potential points of resistance
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Experience in ERP/software implementation projects preferred
- Experience in the food & beverage industry or CPG preferred
- Proficiency in PM software (Smartsheet or MS Project) and MS PowerPoint
- Prosci, PMP certification an asset
