We currently have an opening for a Journeyman Millwright (Plant Maintenance Technician) based out of our plant location at 10351 46th Street SE. This position will work Monday to Friday shift to be determined. This position is responsible for performing the preventative maintenance activities, completing various repair and maintenance projects within the Plants and will work on large projects with Cascades Recovery+ technicians and contractors (as required).
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Must possess journeyman status in a related mechanical discipline and/or equivalent related technical training and experience.
Experience:
- 2 – 5 years mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or related industry.
- Previous experience with equipment used in the recycling industry (baler(s), conveyor(s), sort line, and all other equipment) and with related mobile equipment would be a definite asset.
- Welding and/or machining experience would be an asset.
Skills:
- Good knowledge of electrical and hydraulic components.
- Must be able to work well in an unsupervised environment and as part of a project team.
- Proven troubleshooting ability with emphasis on safety and reliability.
- Must be well organized.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills.
- Must be aware of all safety standards and requirements for maintenance work.

- The starting wage rate for this position will be based on qualifications and experience.
