Screen Test provides screening mammography through two fixed sites, one in Calgary and one in Edmonton, as well as having two mobile mammography units that visit approximately 120 rural sites across Alberta. Screen Test provides screening mammograms for approximately 16,000 clients annually. The Mobile Mammography Technologist I is responsible for performing mammograms at mobile sites, required to work compressed work weeks and extended work days. Out of town and overnight travel is required. May be required to work in the Edmonton Screen Test Clinic on occasion. Responsibilities include: Performing high quality mammographic exams including documenting client history and critiquing images. Maintaining client flow. Driving transport vehicles to rural communities. Setup and shutdown of trailer as required. Maintaining cleanliness of work areas inside trailer. Monitoring trailer systems. Troubleshooting trailer problems and mammography equipment issues as necessary. Performing additional mobile duties such as: reviewing schedules; purchasing supplies; arranging service and cleaning of mobile vehicles; p-card reconciliation. Communicating with office/service providers via phone and e-mail. Performing quality control tests on mammography unit, and documenting results. Performing miscellaneous fixed site duties, such as picking up/dropping off files and supplies, assisting other staff members as necessary, copying and faxing, and other flex time duties such as tech audits and attending meetings.
As a Mammography Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing mammographic exams to produce high quality images using radiologic digital equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. You will receive and complete requisitions, enter relevant data into the radiology information system and prepare examination trays and patients for specific procedures. You will operate computerized imaging equipment including processing and archiving of acquired data and monitoring patients and equipment performance during procedures.

Completion of diploma in Medical Radiation Technology. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 2 years previous mammography experience. Must be able to drive long distance during winter (Vehicles provided).
Post graduate course(s) in mammography (e.g. CAMRT Mammo I and Mammo II). Specialty Certificate in Breast Imaging.
