Avenue and Davenport seafood restaurant needs an evenings-only dishwasher to work in a busy professional kitchen. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Seeking those with availability Tuesday - Saturday evenings.
Shift: approximately from 5pm or 6pm until around 11:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate equipment.
- Clean kitchen appliances and service ware as needed.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, stairs, service areas and prep areas to ensure cleanliness.
- Go up and down stairs as required to assist kitchen operations, and to retrieve and put away items.
- Maintain the cleanliness of outside grounds, including sidewalk, backyard, side walkway and dining patios.
- Remove garbage and recycling from all areas of the restaurant, ensuring proper disposal
- Bring garbage and recycling bins to the pickup area on the sidewalk on the scheduled evenings
- Break down boxes/cardboard as and when required
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean kitchen environment.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely operations and serve as a team player.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and moving up and down stairs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
