Are you passionate about engaging students through both hands-on and academic learning experiences? Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Full-Time Temporary Teacher for a work assignment at Redwater School. The successful candidate will support Junior and Senior High Construction programming and teach Senior High Mathematics and Science, helping students develop practical skills and strong academic foundations.
Located in the Town of Redwater, the school offers a unique small-town environment and serves approximately 300 students from grades 5-12. Approximately 30 staff members work together as a team to provide exemplary education for all students. Redwater School embodies a well-rounded philosophy in education through arts, academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, and citizenship. Community spirit energizes the hallways, encouraging students to “Make a Difference” while pursuing their unique paths to success.
What You’ll Be Doing
Teach grades 7 to 12 Construction Technology, Math 10-3 and Science 14 and 24
Provide engaging and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning
Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Contribute to school initiatives and the broader school community
What You Bring
A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Experience teaching Construction, Mathematics, and Science
Classroom management that fosters a safe and caring environment
Strong skills in using educational technology to support learning
Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
