Position Summary
Tandet Group is seeking a Trucking Dispatcher based out of our Hamilton, ON location. This is an in-office role working Monday to Friday, with participation in a remote on-call rotation for weekends and holidays as required.

Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend & holiday on-call rotation (remote)
Key Responsibilities
Driver Coordination
- Ensure drivers operate safely and productively
- Address driver concerns related to safety, efficiency, and performance
- Dispatch drivers using a fair and consistent approach.
Equipment Management
- Assign company and contracted equipment to maximize utilization
- Coordinate maintenance and servicing with shop personnel
- Ensure timely trailer interior washes
Order Management
- Accurately input and manage orders in the dispatch system
- Communicate updates and notes to Customer Service
Customer Service
- Meet all customer requirements and communicate any changes proactively
- Escalate service issues to Customer Service and leadership
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all loads comply with Hours of Service regulations
- Verify equipment licensing and legal load capacities
- Promote safe practices across all dispatch activities
Additional Duties
- Collaborate with internal teams and support operational needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of the transportation/logistics industry
- Experience in bulk commodities (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a computerized environment
Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 annually
