Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement while working in a welcoming setting. Prior experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure your success. The position involves working with POS systems such as Micros POS and maintaining food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to company standards.
- Operate POS systems efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Ensure all food handling and preparation adhere to food safety guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
