Little Whispers Respite Services is seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator to oversee daily operations across our core services—including respite care, client transportation, and supervised visits—while leading our preparation for the Canadian Accreditation Council (CAC) survey. This role requires a dynamic professional who can balance hands-on program management for children and youth aged 0–18 with the rigorous compliance management required for national accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
Accreditation & Compliance (Mandatory)Gap Analysis: Lead internal reviews across Respite, Transportation, and Supervised visit programs against CAC standards.
Policy Adaptation: Update, write, and implement operational, health and safety, and client-care policies.
Management: Build and maintain organized evidence files, client charts, and personnel records for audit.
Site Readiness: Train and prepare frontline staff, volunteers, and families for CAC reviewer interviews.
Program Coordination & Operations
(Ages 0–18)Service Oversight:
Manage daily scheduling, intakes, and service delivery for respite care, specialized transportation, and supervised family visits. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule respite workers, drivers, and visit supervisors.
Safety & Logistics: Ensure all transportation protocols, vehicle safety checks, and supervised visit safety plans meet provincial and CAC regulations.
Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary contact for families, case managers, and child welfare workers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Accreditation Experience (Mandatory): Demonstrated experience preparing a human services organization for a CAC or Accreditation Canada survey.
Education: Degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
Sector Knowledge: Minimum 2-3 years of experience managing programs for children and youth (0–18), involving supervised visits or specialized transport.Technical Writing: Strong skills in policy development, case notes, risk assessments, and file auditing.
Vetting: Valid Vulnerable Sector Check, Child Intervention Check, and a clean Driver's Abstract, TIC, NVCI, Indigenous Awareness.
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
