Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to join our office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data entry of accounts payable and receivable, estimates and invoicing. The position is open to flexible hours, starting out as temporary contract position with opportunity to be extended.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks accounting software.
- Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and revenues
- Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
- Assist with various office duties as required, such as answering phones, greeting customers, project coordination and scheduling.
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks online.
- General understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience with accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with clients and team members
