About the Role
Seeking an experienced and motivated Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment and enjoys working closely with drivers to ensure compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, resourceful, and confident working independently. The ideal candidate isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, take initiative, solve problems, and support our drivers with day-to-day compliance needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage driver compliance with Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations.
- Assist drivers in understanding, correcting, and preventing Hours of Service violations.
- Maintain and support the company's CTPAT program and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Manage IRP registrations, renewals, supplements, and related documentation.
- Coordinate transponder administration, including new installations, replacements, renewals, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain permits, licensing, and regulatory compliance records.
- Assist with driver onboarding and orientation as it relates to compliance requirements.
- Work closely with drivers, dispatch, and management to resolve compliance issues promptly.
- Investigate and resolve regulatory concerns while maintaining accurate records.
- Support safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Perform other compliance and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a transportation safety and compliance role is required.
- Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations.
- Experience coaching and educating drivers on Hours-of-Service compliance and violations.
- Thorough knowledge of CTPAT requirements and compliance.
- Experience managing IRP registrations and renewals.
- Experience with toll transponders, authorizations, renewals, and replacements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative to find solutions.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
