Job Summary
We are seeking friendly and efficient Front Counter Staff / Cashiers to join our team in delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere. This role is vital in creating a positive experience for our customers and supporting smooth restaurant operations.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Prepare simple food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area, dining space, and food preparation zones in compliance with sanitation guidelines.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times.
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
