Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Farm Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service farm equipment and heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, hands-on experience with agricultural machinery, and the ability to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently to support daily farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters, sprayers, loaders, and other agricultural machinery
- Service and repair heavy-duty vehicles including trucks, trailers, and other diesel-powered equipment
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, brake repairs, and fluid checks
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment safety
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and farm policies
- Respond to breakdowns in the field as needed, especially during peak seasons
- Keep tools, workshop, and equipment clean and organized
Requirements
- Previous experience as a farm mechanic, heavy-duty mechanic, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment and heavy-duty vehicles
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains
- Ability to diagnose problems and work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically able to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy parts
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1/3 considered an asset)
- Mechanical certification or trade qualification is an asset but not mandatory

Wage
- Pay will be based on the expereince.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
