Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
- Assess client needs and develop customized treatment plans to address specific concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients before, during, and after sessions.
- Document client progress and treatment details accurately in accordance with clinic policies.
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or products.
- Uphold all health and safety standards, including proper sanitation procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort and satisfaction throughout each session.
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills.
Experience
- Prior experience as a massage therapist is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous for understanding client conditions and treatment documentation.
- Strong customer service skills are essential to create a welcoming environment and foster client loyalty.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary to clearly explain treatment options and address client questions or concerns.
- Certification from an accredited massage therapy program is required; valid licensure or certification must be maintained according to regulations.
