Overview
Summerview Medical Centre is seeking motivated and professional International Medical Graduates (IMGs) to join our busy family medicine clinic in Newmarket.
This is an excellent opportunity for IMGs looking to gain valuable Canadian clinical experience, work closely with family physicians, and further develop their knowledge of primary care and patient management within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Position Types AvailableFull-Time Position
- Monday to Friday : 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Occasional Saturday daytime shifts required
Part-Time Positions
- Morning shifts available
- Afternoon shifts available
- Occasional Saturday daytime shifts required
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient flow and clinic operations
- Prepare examination rooms and patient charts
- Obtain and document patient histories when appropriate
- Support patient intake and administrative processes
- Coordinate referrals, forms, and follow-up appointments
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- International Medical Graduate (IMG)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with Oscar EMRs is considered an asset
- Previous clinical or medical office experience is an asset
