Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Post Construction Cleaner to join our team. This role involves thoroughly cleaning newly constructed or renovated residential and commercial spaces to ensure they are move-in ready. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of construction sites, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Remove debris, leftover materials, and construction dust from surfaces and floors
- Clean windows, fixtures, appliances, and other surfaces to ensure a spotless finish
- Sanitize bathrooms and kitchens as needed to meet health and safety standards
- Organize cleaning supplies and maintain equipment in good condition
- Coordinate with project managers or clients to address specific cleaning requirements
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- WHIMS required
- Construction safety uniform (safety shoes, helmets, reflective vest)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or post-construction cleaning preferred
- Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Effective communication skills in English; French language skills are a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and techniques suitable for post-construction environments
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings
- Basic laundry skills are advantageous for handling additional cleaning tasks such as linen or fabric care
