Donald’s Fine Foods, a family-owned global provider of high-quality specialty meat products has an exciting opportunity for a Welder, based out of our North 49 Foods Plant located in Moose Jaw, SK
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the Welder will be responsible for operating welding equipment, interpreting welding specifications and performing shielded metal arc welding. Working as part of the Maintenance Team, the Welder ensures all machinery is running safely and the plant is operating in compliance with applicable regulations. All maintenance work will be carried out efficiently, while having the highest priority on safety.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
- Work in a site maintenance/repair, and new fabrication environment.
- Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) in all positions.
- Perform Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) in all positions.
- Select the proper weld filler material.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Set up Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) equipment for welding.
- Lift, move, or position equipment at work sites.
Position Requirements & Skills
- Welding certification, required.
- CWB structural welding ticket preferred
- Experience in fabricating stainless steel (stands, brackets, supports etc..)
- Experience in gas tungsten arc welding (tig welding
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Accountable and dependable and able to manage time effectively.
- Superior problem-solving abilities.
- Able to lift and carry objects, as required.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting an asset.
Pay: $38.60 per hour
