Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Steel Stud Framers and Acoustics Subcontractors to join our construction team. These roles involve working on commercial and residential building projects, specializing in framing, acoustical installations, and related tasks. Candidates should have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This is a paid position suitable for skilled tradespeople committed to quality workmanship and safety standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing and acoustical work
- Install steel studs, drywall, insulation, and acoustical panels according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and woodworking tools safely and efficiently
- Use heavy lifting techniques to handle materials safely on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure project timelines are met with high-quality standards
- Install grid ceilings according to project specifications
- Install cloud ceilings, baffle ceilings and any other specialty items required
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, woodworking techniques
- Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the workday
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of framing and acoustical work
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and project managers
- Prior experience in restoration projects
