JOB DESCRIPTION
The Georgian Bay General Hospital is seeking a Human Resources Associate to join our HR team. The position will provide administrative support for the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. This position is focused on ensuring efficient operations within the department, including correspondence, filing, and administrative support to the HR Team for all HR functions including, onboarding & orientation, performance management, attendance awareness, , recruitment & selection, compensation & benefits, employee engagement and labor relations.

Responsibilities:
Answering and respond to general employee inquiries
Maintain HR files and systems, setting up, updating and maintaining employee files, benefits, employment status at time of hire and completing termination paperwork at termination
Arranging exit interviews and compiling statistics.
Setting appointments and arranging meetings as required
Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads and organizing resumes, schedule interviews and prepare documents for interviews.
Organize and facilitate Hospital General Orientation
Support the performance management program by updating templates, tracking completion, filing completed reviews.
Assisting the in the administration of employee engagement surveys and organization of employee recognition events
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate Qualifications:
University or College degree or diploma in Human Resources Management and pursuing CHRP designation.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an administrative capacity within an HR office environment. Health care experience and is experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.
Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Able to interact with a diversity of individuals in a broad range of situations, which regularly requires tact, discretion, diplomacy and sensitivity to the health care environment.
Demonstrated initiative, high degree of accuracy and ability to handle a complexity of tasks simultaneously.
Ability to respect confidentiality of information.
Ability to plan and organize work efficiently and effectively.
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
As a partially designated French speaking organization strong French verbal and written communication skills are considered an asset in this position.
