Duties
- Assist dental professionals with patient preparation and chairside support during procedures
- Manage patient records, appointments, and billing using dental software systems
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of medical and dental terminology for patient files
- Support laboratory tasks such as creating models or working with systems for denture restorations
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-procedure care
- Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and materials
Skills
- Proficiency in software related to dental applications is preferred
- Previous experience in a dental office setting or as a dental assistant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare environments
- Laboratory experience, including working with dental models or restorations, is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures and safety protocols
