Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, profitability, growth, and operational performance of Goodfellow's Edmonton branch. This role provides direct oversight of sales, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, safety, and personnel while ensuring exceptional customer service and sustainable business growth.
Job Description:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the Edmonton branch.
- Oversee branch budgets, P&L performance and operational costs.
- Enforce workplace health and safety rules and secure the facility.
- Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate branch personnel.
- Drive sales growth and market share within the Edmonton territory.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager to execute growth initiatives.
- Oversee warehousing, inventory, purchasing, transportation, and facility maintenance.
- Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legislation
- Co-ordinate with regional and national product management team on branch product strategy.
- Monitor and set local pricing for the branch territory in consultation with regional sales manager.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years management experience in warehouse operations, logistics or distribution
- Demonstrated experience in leading operational and sales functions
- Strong leadership, coaching and communications skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems, spreadsheets and general MS Office skills
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities
- Citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
