Some of what you will do
As Senior Manager, Mobile Services, you will build & execute our new Mobile phone program. This role requires strong leadership and business acumen, and substantial understanding & experience of the Wireless sector in Canada. You will have P&L accountabilities, lead a team focused on execution, and collaborate closely with partners and internal stakeholders. You will drive a diversifying service offering and develop effective business models designed to drive revenue and market share growth. Each day will be rewarding and meaningful.
Specifically, you will:
Lead overall Wireless category performance and growth strategy
Work closely with merchandising teams on effective assortment planning, and pricing strategies
Lead relationships with our key external partners, specifically working closely with Wireless Carriers & OEM partners to build and execute sales programs; campaigns; and effectively manage inventory
Accountable for all Go-to-market strategies across digital, store, and direct sales channels, collaborating with several cross-functional stakeholders to support testing and piloting of new initiatives, and on-going program management.
Negotiate commercial agreements, financial terms, service requirements and manage vendor relationships from onboarding through performance management.
Monitor trends in the industry, analyze market share data, and gaps in current service portfolio, scope, research, and prepare specifications on potential new business opportunities.
Establish and monitor program objectives and KPIs for new opportunities, and demonstrate immediate performance improvement with quantitative and qualitative reporting, and make adjustments as required.
Some of what you need
5-10 years experience in a Wireless industry - sales and/or operations role
5+ years of progressive experience in a category management, or merchandising role, or related experience
1-3 years managing people
Post-secondary degree with a focus on Business Administration or a related field
Experience quickly scaling a business, on a national level
Experience working on cross functional teams, leading a team of direct reports, and influencing other stakeholders
Experience in launching new lines of business, services, products, and partnerships
Strong understanding of the Canadian Wireless industry, particularly from a retail perspective
Strong category management capabilities, including forecasting; assortment planning; pricing; and inventory management
Strong analytics and business acumen, to be able to assess needs and translate them into strategy & action plans
Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle change in a dynamic work environment
Strong communication and influencing skills
