Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Position Type: Part-Time (25-30 hours per week, with potential to grow to full time based on operational needs).
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Wage: Competitive wages start between $28.00 - $34.00 per hour based on professional experience, education, and personality qualities
Posting Summary:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the day to day tasks of the human resources department and supports a wide range of HR activities. This includes general administrative duties; recruitment; candidate selection and scheduling; interviewing and scoring; reference processing; drafting job offers or contracts; coordinating orientations and trainings; and setting up HR files and benefits for new hires.
The HR Coordinator establishes and maintains a strong organizational culture influenced by the agency’s mission, management philosophy and guiding principles and values.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer company email, benefits and online client relationship management software (CareWebs).
- Write job descriptions, ad drafts, job postings, recruit potential new staff members, shortlist candidates, schedule and interview candidates, perform reference checks, and select new hires.
- Conduct or oversee agency orientation and administrative training for new hires.
- Daily email correspondence with all Pivot Point regions with regard to HR needs, policy, paperwork, training, internal and community events, employee performance and wage reviews, and other administrative issues.
- Support workplace investigations, accommodation processes, and leave management as required.
- Assist with HR compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, privacy requirements, and organizational policies.
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure timesheets, payroll, wage increases, and records of employment are processed correctly and efficiently.
- Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least one year direct experience in an HR Coordinator / Assistant role is required
- Must have a strong knowledge of computers, Google Suite (including Gmail, Docs and Sheets).
- Formal education or on-job training in HR basics including hiring practices and BC-ESA regulations, Human Rights, and coordinating staff training/orientations will be heavily weighted.
- Must have an exemplary understanding of English including grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and nuance.
- Candidate must have a clear Criminal Record Check
Working Conditions:
- This is a remote-based role across British Columbia.
- Daytime weekday availability required with occasional weekends availability.
