Position Overview:
We are excited to offer an immediate opportunity for a skilled Stair Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess foundational experience in construction framing, combined with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to our specialized industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading a small crew to execute the installation of wood and metal stairs with precision and attention to detail.
- Apply carpentry expertise for tasks such as measuring, cutting, and interpreting blueprints.
- Drive a 5-ton truck to deliver stairs throughout the province of Alberta.
- Consult with construction managers on site to ensure the fit of stairs during installation.
- Travel to Edmonton once a week with occasional overnights required.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of construction framing and carpentry skills.
- Physical fitness is essential for the demands of the role.
- Clean driving record and ability to drive a 5-ton truck.
- Fall arrest certification is advantageous (training will be provided).
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
- Eagerness to acquire new skills within our specialized industry.
- Framing experience, cabinet making, furniture building experience considered an asset.
