SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Supervisor, Human Resources.
About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, Camp & Administration, the Supervisor, Human Resources, will be responsible for providing strategic onsite human resources support and guidance across the HR functions. The Supervisor, Human Resources, shares problem-solving solutions with site leadership teams, offers HR support to all employees, and fosters a safe, respectful, and productive work environment. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is a true collaborator, a trusted partner and experienced HR professional. This role is challenging, dynamic and fast paced.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrating commitment and understanding of business needs and priorities to become a trusted business partner.
Advising and coaching internal clients on employee relations matters with a focus on early intervention and people centricity.
Driving change with a focus on continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
Leading workplace investigations, providing support and recommendations in relation to performance issues and disciplinary actions.
Liaising with Case Manager regarding case management support for management of disability leaves.
Coordinating succession management and talent planning initiatives.
Develop and publish monthly HR metrics with a keen eye for business improvement opportunities.
Developing policies and procedures, including communication roll out and updates.
Leading, mentoring, and developing direct reports in Site Administration.
Leading and participating in HR projects with exceptional attention to detail and innovative thinking.
Promoting and maintaining a results-driven performance culture throughout the operation and recommending solutions and improvements to current HR processes and programs.
Conducting and facilitating training sessions on HR related topics including but not limited to new hire orientation, leadership development, policy/procedure education etc.
Supporting site events, preparation and taking part in special projects as assigned or requested.
Your Knowledge and Skills:

Your Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have:
An undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, or a similar discipline (experience in lieu of degree will be considered).
A minimum of 5 years proven leadership in human resources with an advanced knowledge of HR Business Partner activities.
CPHR designation considered an asset.
Experience in leading and developing a team.
Experience in the mining industry or in a similar role within the resources sector is considered an asset.
Experience with Workday, ADP Workforce Now, SAP, KPI Fire and/or Isometrix is also considered an asset.
About Our Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of one (1) week on, one (1) week off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 11-hour days with possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
