Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Painter Helper to join our construction and restoration team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail. Prior construction experience is a plus ; training will be provided to develop necessary skills such as blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and the use of hand tools and power tools. This role is essential in supporting our skilled painters in delivering high-quality finishes while maintaining safety and efficiency on job sites.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead painters with surface preparation, including caulking and sanding to ensure smooth finishes
- Support in the application of paint, stains, and coatings on various surfaces using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, rigging, and protective coverings as needed
- Handle materials and equipment safely, ensuring proper storage and handling of paints, chemicals, and tools
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by disposing of debris and cleaning tools after use
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with other tasks related to residential, commercial, or industrial painting projects as assigned
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or restoration work is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging, and schematics is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members
- Ability to manage time efficiently to meet project schedules
- Knowledge of residential, commercial, or industrial painting techniques is a plus
- Customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction during project completion

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
