2019 RW001: EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Daily equipment servicing and service log completion
  • Assist in maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Maintain gravel roads and back alleys
  • Assist with snow plowing and removal
  • Assist water and sewer operations
  • May be expected to work long hours when needed
  • Adhere to all safety requirements
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Deal effectively and courteously with co-workers and the Public
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent related experience as deemed acceptable by the City
  • Must have a valid Saskatchewan Class 3A license, (1A preferred), and provide a satisfactory
drivers’ abstract

  • Must provide a satisfactory criminal record check upon hire
  • Experience with operating heavy-duty equipment
  • Ability to operate 4 pieces of the following equipment: vacuum truck, backhoe, paint machine,
loader, grader, street sweeper, skid steer, excavator, packer, sanding truck, plow truck

  • Knowledge and Experience with road and sidewalk repair, an asset
  • Safety tickets are an asset, must have or be able to acquire certification in WHMIS, First Aid &
CPR, H2S, ground disturbance, Traffic accommodation, Fall arrest, confined space level 1 and
2, Transportation of dangerous goods, Flag Person

  • Supervisory experience is an asset
  • Excellent physical condition
Salary and Benefits:
  • Per CUPE Agreement: - $22.22 per hour
Commencement: As soon as possible
