Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roll Off Driver to operate roll-off trucks and manage waste removal services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting and disposing of waste materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining efficient operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle operation, and customer service to support our waste management team.
Responsibilities
- Operate roll-off trucks to pick up and deliver disposal bins at various residential, commercial and industrial sites
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate schedules and address any issues
- Perform basic maintenance or repairs on trucks and equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and environmental regulations during operations
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and waste management protocols
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, including automotive repair skills for minor troubleshooting
- Strong driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
