A.C. Americas (Canada) Inc. has an exciting ON-SITE opportunity for an AV Repair and Support Technician who will be providing service-level dealer support for AC Americas’ product lines. The ideal candidate will also complete electronic repairs with testing on lighting, audio, and network equipment distributed by A.C. Lighting and A.C. ProMedia. .
What Will You Do?
Working in partnership with multiple stakeholders internally/externally, the Electronic Repair and Support Specialist is involved with all technical aspects of supporting our product lines including product repairs, dealer aid as well as assisting with system design, onsite training, and support for our dealer network.
Equipment Repair
- Conduct technical repair and component-level diagnostics for our products which includes lighting, audio, and network distribution equipment.
- Replace components to test for equipment operation ability.
- Complete general electronics repairs, solder and manually assemble various electronic components, use digital/analog multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.
- Set up and operate various test equipment to perform continuity testing, locate circuit and wiring faults as well as component defects in items that require repair.
- Coach and assist repair technicians in product diagnoses and electronic repairs.
- Provide technical information to our customer base upon request.
- Provide technical support for our clients and dealers.
Equipment support
- Provide Technical Support for all of our exclusive product brands.
- Troubleshoot product issues and make recommendations for repair or replacement solutions
- Qualify client requirements and recommend the appropriate application to meet those needs and work in conjunction with the sales representative to provide material to promote the product.
- Assist in creating professional lighting design drawings in conjunction with the Sales team’s requirements for the permanent installation of the Chroma Q Inspire line.
- Assist with coordinating product, dealer/client and staff training sessions.
- Assist with the Design and Implementation of Demo equipment kits.
What Do You Need To Succeed?
- 4+ years of working experience in AV electronics repair and product diagnostics
- Hands-on experience with professional lighting equipment
- Electronic training and knowledge of digital electronics
- Advanced technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings
- Use soldering tools and some experience with SMT soldering preferred
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detailed oriented
- Valid Passport
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of A.C. Lighting products is considered an asset
- Technical experience in the professional lighting & AV industries
- Training in stage lighting applications and principles of lighting
- DIALux, VectorWorks or similar software an asset

This position offers competitive compensation starting at $50,000.00/annually based on experience, opportunities for professional growth, and a collaborative work environment.
