Job description
Our PROCON Systems (2013) division has an immediate need for a Technical Product Specialist (outside sales) in Eastern Canada. As a Technical Product Specialist, you would maintain direct relationships with our existing customers, all while forging new relationships with potential customers from non-traditional markets. Supported by a technical inside sales staff, you would ensure all customer inquiries are handled promptly.
The successful applicant MUST have (do not apply if you do not meet these requirements):
- Post-secondary education in instrumentation or engineering (technology)
- A basic understanding and experience in industrial instrumentation and process control
- Experience with industrial connectivity standards (4..20 mA, Modbus, HART etc)
- Self-starter who is able to work unsupervised
- Strong organizational skills
- Results driven
- Good command of the English language, both written and oral
- Valid clean driver’s license, good vehicle and a Canadian Passport
Additionally, the ideal candidate will also:
- Be proficient in both of Canada’s official languages
- Residence: Toronto-Sarnia corridor (Kitchener, London) preferred
The duties and responsibilities include:
- Technical Sales coverage for Eastern Canada from Ontario to the Maritimes
- Become proficient in the products that PROCON distributes, the industries served by these products and how they benefit our clients
- Identify and solicit potential clients
- Set up and provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services
- Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services
- Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
- Resolve product and service related problems
- Ability to travel extensively and stay overnight frequently during the week
- Bi-Weekly Sales Report
Pay: $65,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
