Administrative Assistant / Sales Coordinator (Basketball Organization):
Location: Remote / Hybrid (Greater Toronto Area preferred)
Position Type: Part-Time to Start (Opportunity for Full-Time Growth)
About Us:
We're rebuilding a successful basketball organization that previously served over 300 athletes before operations were impacted by COVID-19. We're now growing from the ground up again and are looking for a motivated, organized, and results-driven individual who wants to help build something meaningful.
This isn't just an administrative role, it's an opportunity to become a key part of our organization's growth.
Responsibilities:
- Make outbound cold calls to schools, families, community organizations, and potential clients.
- Follow up on warm leads and inquiries.
- Register new athletes and assist families through the enrollment process.
- Collect registration payments and keep accurate records.
- Maintain spreadsheets and athlete databases using Microsoft Excel.
- Draft professional emails and communications with excellent grammar.
- Organize schedules, registrations, and administrative documents.
- Assist with marketing, outreach, and city launches.
- Support day-to-day operations as the organization continues to grow.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident speaking on the phone
- Comfortable with cold calling and sales
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Professional and reliable
- Strong with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent in written and spoken English
- Comfortable handling payments and following up on outstanding balances
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Passionate about youth sports and community development (an asset)
Compensation:
This position begins as a performance-based opportunity while we rebuild each market.
- 20% commission on every client you successfully register.
- Once 10 athletes are registered in a city, the position transitions to an hourly wage for work performed in that market.
- Following a successful probationary period, the hourly wage will range between $19.00–$30.00 per hour, based on performance, experience, and responsibilities.
- Commission opportunities continue even after transitioning to an hourly rate.
