We are presently seeking a Parts Associate for the heavy-duty department. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry, with a strong focus on aftermarket heavy duty truck parts.
Job Duties
- Creating accurate quotes and invoices for the service team and clients
- Liaison with Heavy Duty service advisors and Technicians to process incoming and outgoing orders.
- Ability to utilize software systems for inventory, recordkeeping, parts information, etc.
- Follow up with vendors and internal customers on a timely manner.
- Shipping/ receiving of parts orders, including returns.
- Inventory management, ensuring appropriate stock levels.
- Prepares documentation for purchases, returns, warranty and other duties as required.
- Support parts needs for Service department by looking up and billing parts to work orders, reviewing orders to ensure all are accurate.
- Assisting technicians to identify parts needed in Service Department.
- Assisting Parts Manager and Service Manager where needed
Requirements
- Experience ordering parts for heavy duty
- Experience with ‘aftermarket’ and/or ‘OE dealer’ parts
- An individual who can perform physically demanding work (must be able to move products that weigh 10 – 50 pounds, Strength, stamina and the use of proper lifting techniques)
- Computer literacy skills, experience with Mitchell 1 software an asset.
- Experience purchasing and selling 'aftermarket' and/or 'OE dealer' parts.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
